habe MySQL 4.0.13 unter SuSE Linux 8.1 kompiliert, make und make install liefen ohne Fehler ab, allerdings gibts bei dem Script mysql_install_db Fehler:
dhcppc1:/usr/LAMP/mysql-4.0.13/scripts # ./mysql_install_db
Neither host 'dhcppc1' and 'localhost' could not be looked up with
/usr/local/mysql//bin/resolveip
Please configure the 'hostname' command to return a correct hostname.
If you want to solve this at a later stage, restart this script with
the --force option
/etc/HOSTNAME sieht so aus:
und /etc/hosts so:
ist dieser Pfad überhaupt gültig von der Meldung?
