apache 1 und die tilde

domain.tld/~temp läuft online (apache/1.3.26) einwandfrei

localhost/~temp

diese pfadangabe läuft unter meinem apache 2 einwandfrei

unter apache 1.3.26 lokal tut's nicht (The requested URL /~temp was not found on this server.)

warum?
wo schauen?

hänge mal einen slash beim aufruf hinten dran. ~temp ist ja ein verzeichnis. oder?

wenn es geht ist's gut, hab aber spontan auch keine lösung...

das is doch eigentlich ein 404 oder?

wenn ich nämlich http://localhost/irgendwaswasnichtdaist eingebe, kommt meine 404-seite, aber da steht nur diese lapidare meldung vom apache

vielleicht hilft das weiter....
