in-use pop3

ich hab nen problem, auf meinem server geht ein pop fach nicht, immer wenn ich es abrufen will kommt die fehler meldung:

Server: 'pop3.xxx.de, Protokoll: POP3, Serverantwort: '-ERR [IN-USE] /var/mail/.web1p1.pop lock busy!  Is another session active? (11)', Port: 110, Secure (SSL): Nein, Serverfehler: 0x800CCC90, Fehlernummer: 0x800CCC92

It might be that StarOffice is holding the lock. StarOffice keeps a POP3 
session open IF you are working from the server, that is not downloading 
contents.

Workarounds:

Select "download message contents" (not always what you want). As this 
closes the POP3 session as soon as the messages have been downloaded.

Close all mail frames associate with that account, (maybe you have 2?)

Wait a bit, the lock should clear lock after a time out. (POP3 specifies 
an inactivity timeout of at least 10 minutes if used, I don't think there 
is a maximum so this will depend on your server. My POP3 use the system 
maillock(1) and it expires after 5 minutes of no POP3 activity.)

rm /var/spool/mail/.acevedo.pop

Use a different POP3 server which better clears locks.

Use Imap4 (not POP3).
