AmpJuke is a program that runs on Linux using Apache, MySQL and PHP. AmpJuke streams MP3-files (that is:music) to one or more clients using the HTTP-protocol.
AmpJuke "selling point" focuses on flexible navigation as well as speed.
Any program that can handle M3U-playlists (ie. WinAmp or Microsoft Media Player) can play the streamed music. You either play music right away or build a "queue" of tracks to be played and/or merge albums, performers, tracks, favorites into the existing queue.
Features include, but are not limited to:
* Scanning and import of music based on ID-tags stored within the MP3-files.
* Lists with: Track, Album, Performer, Year and Favorites (lists can be sorted by f.ex. Performer, Year, Track Name, Album, Last Played etc.).
* Search.
* Random play (based on all tracks, range of years, favorite list or queued).
* Simple administration.
* Multiple languages.
* Automatic retrieval of album/cover art.
